There is only documentation for publishing to thingspeak from Arduino client using mqtt. Can anyone help me out to subscribe a channel from an Arduino client and receive data using mqtt. Is it even possible?

BTW I was able to receive data using the MQTT.fx software.

Thanks in advance

Yes, it is possible to subscribe to a ThingSpeak channel using an Arduino.  There is an example currently for a MQTT subscribe on particle photon.  The photon is very similar to Arduino.  If you were able to subscribe with MQTT.fx, you should be almost there.

You might consider the pubsub client for your MQTT library.  Let me know if this example works for you.
