I am using free License on ThingSpeak. I have following questions:
Is there a limit on how much data can we post per field on ThingSpeak channel?
How many free channels can we create per account ?

The amount of data in a single post is limited to 255 characters per field, up to 8 fields plus status and location fields. The update rate is limited to once per 15 seconds for a free user.

You should not have any issues creating the number of channels that you need.

I noticed over the last day or so that I can no longer view fields at an index greater than 4 on some channels. The charts just show "Not Found" in place of the chart. I tried unchecking unused fields for the channel so that I would have less than 4 fields and the chart for field 6 still shows this "Not Found" (for multiple channels).

Has there been an additional limitation imposed on the Free License recently?

Also, this could be a result of me having 6 channels as I had these setup prior to the change in conditions for the number of channels for a free license?

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble viewing your channels.
Free users who created channels before the limitation are still able to use the existing channels, but you cannot create new channels (over the channel # limit) without a license.
There are no limits on the fields. I'm not completely clear about the situation you are describing, but I have two suggestions to try and clear it up.
In your channel settings page, make sure the fields in question are enabled. Use the add visualizations button to add back the field 6 chart, or delete the existing one and then add a new one back in. If this doesn't solve the problem, please let us know here.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Well, I tried deleting the visualization and then re-adding it and still get the Not Found text in place of the chart. I attached a screen capture of what I am seeing.

I have two channels that are doing this... not sure if you can see this internally?

Both of these have been up since 2017/2018 without any issues.

I do not see an attachment to your post at all. The system is a bit picky on images, please be patient.

@pier Can you describe your problem more precisely? I assume it is not a free license limitation, so you might consider starting a new thread. Are you not able to read data from ThingSpeak?

I have exact the same problems that started two days ago.
I already followed the suggestions to delete and re add the charts.
Also I cleared the channel but the problem was not solved.
Any suggestion?

We are aware of this problem. Right now the only thing that has helped is to be sure all the fields in a channel are enabled. We will post here when there is a definite solution.

Enabling public share resolves the issue. I had same problem on private channel.
Appreciate if you fixed to use private again

Hi, i am free user since several years. i have 4 active channels in ThinkSpeak.
Now I accidentally made a wrong choice when logging in: Commercial because the login change was very confuse for me. Sorry.
I am a private user and not a commercial user. I would like to continue using my channels. Can you help me.
Otherwise, all sensors will stop working. What a dramatic situation.
