is there a chance to change how the channel field names are defined? Now to update channel feed through API I need to send the values in format &field1=value&field2=value etc. However the device is sending data like &data=value&device=value etc. I can not influent the sending device to call the fields field1, field2, etc.
If this is possible, my next question follows. Can I parse the value in data fields and store it in several other fields? I mean data will contain several bytes coded together, I need to split them before storing to separate fields for further analysis.
Unfortunately the available call back function setup does not allow me to set anything accept the URL 🙁

Thank you.

You can change the label for the fields but when you upload data using the REST API you are still restricted to &field1=1&field2= etc.
You may be able to use a third party service to translate the data before you send it to ThingSpeak. Perhaps you might consider IFTTT.
What kind of device are you using?
