Hi,

I have been looking round for a IoT logging solution for what might grow up to 30 different data feeds and Thingspeak seem to be the most suitable for what I want. The dashboard does not look that great compared to others, so I have a few questions I have been struggling to find answer for from Google:
1) Most of the Thingspeak screenshots I have seen can show your graphs and widgets without all the buttons and info at the top (Channel ID, Add widget, last updated etc). How do I get to a view once I am happy to just see the data and not the controls?

2) Is there any way to change the size of the frames each widget is in? What I was able to do with a few other products was to have a small gauge showing the latest reading (e.g. the current temperature), with a 2 day graph by the side of it. Is the best way to embed the data as iframes on my own website, then I can control the size and position?

3) The built in widgets are pretty basic, especially the gauge and number read out. Is there a community repository of other widgets anywhere? I'm happy to look at writing my own if I can't find one I want, so it would be good to have a place to share them.

Hello Dave,

The "Public View" is configured to not show the buttons and such. The idea is that channel owner can configure it, and the public can only view it. So, if you only want the view without the buttons, etc, look at the public view. Another option is to set up the view and share it privately with the users who want to be able to see it. The users who are not the owner of the channel who are seeing it will not see the buttons.

Right now there is no way to change the size of each widget on ThingSpeak itself. That is an enhancement request we will consider in the future. If you do want to change the look of it, rearrange, resize, etc, you can host it on your website where you can use CSS to specify position, style and size of iframes.

What additional widgets are you looking to add? We are always looking to add more widgets based on what our users request. Let us know of the use cases and we will consider them.

As for sharing the widgets that you author, feel free to share them on the forum. The main purpose of the forum is as a place for users to interact and exchange information with others!
