Hello,

AFAIK, there's no limit to the number of data points, but a Channel can only be updated every 15s. Doesn't the 15s update limit restrict the number of data points? That's max. 240 data points in an hour? For instance, suppose I monitor humidity and temperature and a sample comes in every 5s. Does that mean this can't be achieved as a Channel can't be updated every 5s?

In the open source version, is there a way to remove the limit?

You are correct. Currently, a single channel can only be updated once every 15 seconds. If you want to record data every 5 seconds, you can write data to 3 different channels in a round robin type order.

To visualize the data, you can create a MATLAB Visualization which reads the last X data points from each channel, orders the results, and plots the data.

In the open source version there is a constant which may be changed to alter the rate limit. It is located under config/initializers/constants.rb line #9
